If you are looking for a complete power steering conversion, Speed Direct offers Corvette, Camaro, Nova and Mustang pumps. Steeroids kits are designed to work with your stock pump, but if you do not have one, here is what we offer. Steeroids kits come complete with the power steering hoses.
The standard pumps listed below have all new interior parts. The housing is a refurbished non-wearable part. We have a wide selection of pumps available, including factory correct reservoirs, so call for more information. If you are looking for more information about detuned pumps, please read more in the Tech Section.
Pumps are available with both press-on pulley shafts or keyway shafts. We are listing the keyway style because they are easier to work on and the pulleys have a lot more quality. Many press-on pulleys available today are not balanced well and can cause premature wear of the pump bearings. If you are looking for the bottle style reservoir and/or press-on style pumps for Camaro, Nova, Mustang etc, please call for more information. Lots of options are available for pretty much any vehicle!
If you are changing a manual big block setup to a power setup, you will need the bracket kit below that includes the cradle for the pump, the bracket to relocate the alternator and all of the fasteners. You will also need the double groove pump pulley, since the alternator is run off of the pump.
***PLEASE NOTE: If you are converting a stock manual vehicle to power, you will need a 68-82 double groove crank/harmonic balancer pulley and the single groove crank/harmonic balancer pulley that mounts inside the double groove crank pulley as well. (Earlier year pulleys may not align the grooves properly with the newer style pumps we are using)
